Dr. Joachim Hasenmaier

Dr. Joachim Hasenmaier is a senior healthcare executive with over 30 years of experience in mainly animal but also human health, spanning pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and medtech. He excels in transforming businesses, notably turning a marginal animal health unit into a global leader through internal growth and strategic acquisitions.

He is currently Chairman of the Board of IMV Technologies and ECO Animal Health, a Senior Advisor on selected projects, and a Board Member of Vaxinano, an early stage animal health immunology focused company. Previously, he was on the Supervisory Boards of Heska as well as Invetx and worked almost 20 years for Boehringer Ingelheim mostly leading it’s animal health business. He was member of the Board of Managing Directors at Boehringer Ingelheim and his career highlight was overseeing a major business swap with Sanofi followed by the integration of the respective animal health businesses with combined turnover of appr. €4 Billion. Earlier roles include leadership positions at Intervet, Hoechst Group and McKinsey & Co.

Dr. Hasenmaier holds a doctorate in veterinary medicine, a PhD in virology/immunology, and a Master’s in Management from Kellogg School of Management.
